What Happens When a Number Rental Expires
Learn what changes when a MangoOTP number rental reaches its end time, what remains available, and how to prepare before expiry.
Expiry is the end of the purchased period
Every MangoOTP number rental has a recorded start time and end time. While the rental is active, the assigned number can receive messages for the selected service. When the end time is reached, the rental moves to its expired result and the active receiving period ends.
Normal expiry is not a failure or a cancellation. It means the duration selected at purchase has been provided. For that reason, a normally expired rental does not create a refund. The purchase transaction and final order result remain part of the account history.
New messages stop after the end time
Messages sent after expiry are not collected for the expired rental. An application may schedule a security or login message later than expected, so plan important actions before the final day. A message requested at the last minute can arrive after the rental has ended.
Closing the browser does not change the expiry time, and keeping the page open does not extend it. The displayed end time is the boundary. Record it in a private reminder and allow extra time for application delays, rate limits, or manual steps.
Existing message history remains available
Authorized users can continue to read the standardized message history already recorded for their rental after it ends. This helps with order review and support. The history contains the business information needed by the product and does not expose a complete raw response from external systems.
Historical access does not mean the number is still active. Do not request a new code for an expired rental and expect it to appear in the old detail. Protect previously received codes and remove temporary copies when they are no longer needed.
A new rental is a separate order
Creating another rental after expiry creates a new business order. It does not guarantee the same phone number, the same availability, or the same price. Always verify the new service, country, duration, and displayed price instead of assuming that the previous selection will be repeated.
Keep the old and new order numbers separate. A code received in one rental must not be entered into an application session started with another number. When several rentals exist, compare the number, timestamp, service, and order reference before using a message.
Prepare before expiry
List any expected login, recovery, or security events and choose a rental duration that covers the last expected date. Several days before expiry, check the target application and complete necessary actions. Avoid waiting until the final hour for an operation that may require more than one message.
Save only non-sensitive references such as the MangoOTP order number and expiry time. Do not store full verification messages in shared documents, public calendars, screenshots, or chat. Never give a password, two-factor secret, access token, or API key to support.
If the result looks wrong
Refresh the rental detail once and confirm the displayed time zone, end time, and current status. If the rental stopped before its recorded end time, keep the order number, service, country, last message time, and a redacted screenshot. Contact support for an authorized review instead of creating repeated replacement orders.
If the rental reached its stated end normally, the correct next step is to create a new rental only when another period is needed. More rental and account guidance is available in the MangoOTP Help Center.
