How to Compare Account History with Order Amounts

A practical guide to matching MangoOTP order prices, charges, refunds, deposits, and balance changes without relying on the total balance alone.

Start from one business order

The fastest way to understand a balance change is to begin with a specific MangoOTP order instead of comparing only the current balance with an older screenshot. Open the order detail and record its order number, displayed price, creation time, final status, and product type. Then open the account history for the same period and look for entries carrying the same business reference.

The current balance is the combined result of deposits, activation purchases, rentals, refunds, transfers, withdrawals, commissions, and adjustments. Several events may happen within a few minutes. A total balance difference therefore cannot prove which order caused the change. A matching reference and amount provide much stronger evidence.

Read charges and credits separately

A successful purchase creates a charge linked to the order. A later eligible refund creates a separate credit; it does not delete or rewrite the original charge. Seeing both records is expected and provides a complete audit trail. Compare their amounts and confirm that they reference the same order before concluding that the net effect is zero.

Deposits and commission releases are also credits, but they are not order refunds. Likewise, a transfer or withdrawal belongs to a different business flow. Use the transaction label, reference, amount, and time together. Do not classify a record only because it increases or decreases the displayed balance.

Compare timestamps carefully

MangoOTP displays time consistently for the selected locale and product view, while the underlying event may be recorded in a common system time. When comparing screenshots, keep the displayed timezone and date range the same. An event near midnight may appear on a different calendar day if two views use different timezone settings.

Sort the list from newest to oldest, then expand the date range if the expected record is not visible. Do not assume the top row belongs to the order you just opened; another process may have posted a transaction later. Search by order number whenever the page provides that option.

A simple four-step check

First, confirm the order price and final status. Second, find the original charge with the same reference. Third, if the final result is refundable, find the separate refund entry and compare its amount. Fourth, calculate only the records linked to that order. This isolates the order from unrelated account activity.

For example, an activation can show one purchase charge and one refund credit of the same amount after a confirmed cancellation. A completed activation should normally have the purchase charge without a cancellation refund. A rental can have its own price and lifecycle, so do not apply activation timing assumptions to a rental record.

When the numbers do not match

Refresh both pages once and verify that your filters include the correct account and date range. Check whether the record is still processing rather than final. Keep the order number, transaction reference, displayed amounts, timestamps, and a redacted screenshot. Do not create a new order or adjustment to force the balance to look correct.

Contact support when a final order has no matching charge, a confirmed refund has no matching credit, the amounts differ, or the same business reference appears more than expected. Never send passwords, verification codes, API keys, or access tokens. Additional account guidance is available in the MangoOTP Help Center.
